The Active RFID RF20315T is a compact, short range transmitter for people, purses, backpacks, and anything else inside the home or office you want to track with home automation.

Description
This transmitter in combination with the RF8315R can be used with office and home automation software such as HomeSeer, HAL2000, HAL Deluxe, MisterHouse, Indigo, Xtension, or Girder to determine the presence of absense of the tag. It works great for tracking:

- Backpacks
- Diaper Bags

Active RFID transmitters send a unique 4 characters code every 2.5 to 5 seconds and the matching receiver RF8315R receives the ID within 20 meters line of sight. The transmitter only activates when transmitting.

Options - Articulating Antenna
Adding the solid, articulating antenna saves you the trouble of keeping the wire antenna straight to achieve reliable transmissions. The cost of the change is a reduction in line-of-sight range (see the forum for test results). The impact to your situation will vary based on the environment.
